Facial Implants, Fat Grafting, and Fillers

Liposculpting or Dermafat Grafting

Patients whose faces lack symmetry or are deficient in volume may be candidates for facial implants or fillers. Facial implants, including those of the cheek, chin, and jaw, are often used to achieve facial balance and symmetry, creating a natural, rejuvenated look. Chin implants are often used along with a rhinoplasty to improve the symmetry of the face in profile, creating better harmony between the nose and chin. Incisions for facial implants are often made inside the mouth, and don’t require removal of the sutures. Temporary fillers, such as Juvederm, have results lasting up to a year, and are used to improve the wrinkles around the nose and mouth, or to create fuller, plumper lips. Administration of these fillers does not require anesthesia and is always done by Dr. Tkach. Although slight bruising and swelling may be apparent for a few days following injections, makeup can often help camouflage this. More permanent solutions include the use of fat or derma-fat grafting in the lips, hollows of the cheeks, and the lines around the nose and mouth.
